Sapphire Blue Kemple Glass Quintec Pattern Pedestal Cake Plate Stand Vintage Tableware
This vintage pedestal cake stand by Kemple Glass captures everything I love about mid-century entertaining. In a rich sapphire-blue hue and pressed in the Quintec pattern (circa 1960), it features a flared pedestal base and intricate surface detailing that elevates even the simplest dessert.
Kemple Glass began in 1945 in East Palestine, Ohio, founded by John and Geraldine Kemple. After a factory fire in 1956, the company relocated to Kenova, West Virginia, where it became known for creating “Authentic Antique Reproductions” using original molds from defunct American glassmakers like McKee. John, a fifth-generation glassmaker, and Geraldine, who managed sales and operations, ran the business until John’s passing in 1970, when Geraldine closed the company and sold the molds to Wheaton Industries.
