Antique Hubley Cast Iron Flower Basket Doorstop Turquoise + Golden Blooms
This is the kind of antique that makes a room look finished even if the laundry pile says otherwise. A classic early-20th-century cast iron doorstop in a cheerful flower basket form, with that irresistible timeworn paint: golden yellow blooms, deep green leaves, and a soft turquoise base with plenty of honest patina.
The Hubley Manufacturing Company was incorporated in 1894 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania by John Hubley and produced a wide range of cast iron toys, doorstops and bookends. The company went out of business in the mid 1970's.
