Antique La Francaise Porcelain Floral Bowl

Soft, romantic, and beautifully timeworn — this antique La Francaise Porcelain bowl has all the pretty details we love: a scalloped rim, raised scrollwork, pink shading, blue floral center, and delicate gold accents around the edge. It has that graceful early-1900s parlor-meets-cottage feel without being too fussy.

Despite the French-sounding name, La Francaise Porcelain is associated with The French China Company, an American ceramics maker that operated in Ohio. The company began in East Liverpool, Ohio in 1898, later moved to Sebring, Ohio around 1901, and produced china and semi-porcelain wares into the early 1930s. “La Francaise Porcelain” was one of the company’s early marks used on decorated porcelain pieces.
