Antique W. Adams & Co. Kyber Flow Blue Ironstone Plate

A striking antique flow blue plate from W. Adams & Co. of Staffordshire, England, featuring the company’s Kyber pattern. Traces of the original gilt edging remain along the rim.

Rich cobalt blue covers the plate in an elaborate Chinoiserie-inspired scene with palm trees, pagodas, architectural details, figures, florals, and decorative border panels. The slightly blurred cobalt edges are characteristic of traditional flow blue production.

The reverse carries the W. Adams & Co. Kyber backstamp with “England,” dating the piece to the late Victorian or early Edwardian period, circa 1895 to 1910. A beautiful display piece for a plate wall, blue-and-white collection, open shelving, or layered vintage tablescape.
